The former economics professor Walter Vale is after the death of his wife no longer fit right in life. When he leaves for a lecture in New York, he meets his old apartment in an African couples. Tarek and Zainab do not know where they live and otherwise might be left. Gradually, a friendship develops between Walter and Tarek, who teaches him the drums. But the idyll does not come to those unfortunately.
